Sweater Dress + Long Coat

It's Friday and we made it through the first week of the new year!  And what a way to end the first week then with the threat of a 'winter storm'.  Being a native of Atlanta, I can say we really don't get consist bad weather.  However, I do remember winter 2014.  That year mother nature decided to give us the cold .shoulder.  It started with cold rain, then freezing rain and then ice which froze very quickly over the road ways leaving hundreds of people stranded in their cars for days.

Although this coat was free for me, I was undecided on it's purpose in my life since I'm not really a long coat wearer.  Mainly because I'm short, like 5' short.  But one of my blogger boo's Cindy of IamPriiincesss.com and I decided we'd get together and give you guys a little coat street style.  My look simply consists of a coat and turtleneck sweater dress.  What I like most about this dress are the big front pockets, because what's a dress without pockets.  We said we'd post about coats, but didn't plan our look.  So ironically we end up with similar looks.  Cindy looks absolutely adorbs in her monochrome styled winter white trench coat and sweater dress.  Unlike me she went with the tall boot to shield her legs from this breezy weather, where as I opted for these snake print loafers.  How do you think we did?  What's your take on wearing a long coat?
